Frequently asked questions

Is Upstream a subscription?

No. Downloading Upstream is free, and Upstream FULL is a single one-time in-app purchase (19,99 €) — no renewals, with Family Sharing support. You can restore it on any of your Macs.

I bought FULL but the features are locked. What can I do?

Try these steps:

  1. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account used for the purchase
  2. In Upstream, open the purchase screen and tap Restore purchases
  3. Check that the app is updated to the latest version
  4. Restart the app

If it still doesn't unlock, contact us with your purchase date and receipt.

How can I request a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds go directly to them:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account
  2. Select the Upstream purchase and the reason for the refund
  3. Submit the request
A connection fails or a transfer won't complete. What should I include?

To help us reproduce it quickly, please include:

  • The protocol (FTP, FTPS or SFTP) and the server type, if known
  • What the live console log shows around the error
  • Your macOS and Upstream versions
